Voices from the Heartland
Youth Day Afternoon Concert

Join us for a moving Youth Day celebration of music, art, and storytelling at Lourensford Wine Estate.

Set within the Lourensford Cellar, this unique performance brings together the voices of the Imibala Choir, the Hermanus Youth Choir, and a selection of young performers and guest artists.

At the heart of the concert is Voices from the Heartland – A Collection by Young Creators — a body of work that combines visual art, written stories, and lived experiences of young people. Throughout the performance, this creative work comes to life through digital projections of original artwork and text, transforming the stage into a living gallery.

The musical programme features a rich selection of choral and traditional songs from around the world, woven together with moments of storytelling and reflection to create an immersive experience centred on identity, heritage, and the journey of becoming.

The afternoon will also include special guest appearances by the Edinburgh cast of Yes-Ya-Yebo, alongside other invited performers.
